Feds appeal ruling on Jefferson raid

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Justice Department has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to overrule a lower court decision that said the agency overstepped its constitutional bounds by raiding the congressional office of U.S. Rep. William Jefferson.
