GOP makes its play for the Louisiana House
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Republicans haven't controlled the state House since the 19th century, but they've got a shot to win it back this year. Several factors are working in their favor, in spite of ongoing national political troubles that include the sex scandal faced by Louisiana's own U.S. Sen. David Vitter. Vitter himself, and his work behind the scenes, is one reason his party has a chance at a historic win.
