Officials urge Congress to revise disaster-aid law
Congress should rewrite the federal disaster-aid law because it largely ignores communities such as Baton Rouge that harbor disaster evacuees, the mayors of four of the cities that took in hurricane evacuees in 2005 told U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu at a committee hearing Monday in Baton Rouge.
