The board that will oversee the new teaching hospital in New Orleans held its first meeting at the Windsor Court Hotel, but the Governor's Executive Counsel, Stephen Waguespack, said the meeting was not open because they were claiming the exemption that allows boards to meet for social events without conducting official business. Waguespack and Jindal's Deputy Chief of Staff Kristy Nichols attended the meeting.
