    TIGER IN CHIEF REJECTS INTIMIDATION  The Times Picayune's Bill Barrow reports that LSU System President, Dr. John Lombardi, doesn't take too kindly to Jindal Administration intimidation tactics.   The head of LSU is transparent about how he was expected to act saying, the administration preferred "coordinated" public relations messages so "all units of higher education respond in the same generally positive and supportive way to the Administration's efforts."  Read more about how one man deals with sending honest, if difficult, messages.

FBI Hits New Roads City Hall -- Mayor Retains Atlanta Criminal Defense Attorney
FBI agents were at the New Road City Hall Friday in the latest in a series of searches that included the offices of White Castle Mayor Maurice Brown, St. Gabriel Mayor George Grace, Port Allen Chief of Police Fred Smith and Port Allen Mayor Derek Lewis.  New Roads Mayor Tommy Nelson, shown here with his City Council, has hired Page Pate, a criminal defense attorney based in Atlanta, who has advised Nelson not to discuss the matter.  Nelson is expected to qualify for re-election next week as the FBI confirmed that Friday's search is part of an ongoing investigation.  Computer hard drives, correspondence and planners are among the items the FBI is combing through.
