    Governor's Press Secretary Corrects Him on Possible Vitter Endorsement Just two days after Governor Bobby Jindal announced he would not be endorsing Senator David Vitter because he doesn't get involved in federal races, his press secretary has corrected him.  Melissa Sellers, who issues official statements for the Governor, said the Governor hasn't gotten involved in the race...yet.  When reporters reminded Sellers that Jindal endorsed State Treasurer John Kennedy in his bid to unseat Senator Mary Landrieu and that he regularly helps Congressional candidates around the country raise money, Sellers said the Governor meant to say that he hasn't gotten involved in federal races....this year.

GOP CHARGES JOBLESS WITH NOT WANTING TO WORK

 With unemployment benefits at stake in the debate during one of the worst job crises in decades, the Republican's number two ranking member claimed that the benefits deter job hunting because "people are being paid even though they are not working."  Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona went on to argue that unemployment benefits do nothing to create new jobs in the down economy.  The latest rift between the parties seems to add to the partisan divide that has gripped Washington.
