    TIGER IN CHIEF REJECTS INTIMIDATION  The Times Picayune's Bill Barrow reports that LSU System President, Dr. John Lombardi, doesn't take too kindly to Jindal Administration intimidation tactics.   The head of LSU is transparent about how he was expected to act saying, the administration preferred "coordinated" public relations messages so "all units of higher education respond in the same generally positive and supportive way to the Administration's efforts."  Read more about how one man deals with sending honest, if difficult, messages.

Barbour Has No Apologies for Pardoning 17 Murderers

Former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour says he is at peace with his decision to pardon more than 200 criminals, including 17 convicted murderers, on his last days in office, but angry Mississippians are fighting back with the help of Attorney General Jim Hood.  CBS News is reporting his actions will likely lead to changes in Mississippi's pardon laws.
